Clemeth's Story

Clemeth Richard "Dick" Taylor, 86, passed away on December 16, 2017, in Stillwater, OK. 
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Stillwater, under the direction of Strode Funeral Home. 
Dick was born in Missouri on October 22, 1931, to C. E. and Mayme Taylor. He and Theodora "Teddie" Leible were married on May 15, 1954, in Kelso, MO. Dick owned and operated Taylor Barber and Styling Shop from 1956 to 1996 in Stillwater, OK. 
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church since 1956, and was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Grand Knight 1963, 4th Degree 1983 and Supreme Navigator. 
He was also a member of the Elks Lodge since 1964, serving as Exalted Ruler from 1982-1983; American Legion since 1963; Wagon Wheel Square Dancing since 1984; and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. 
In 1987, Dick was a part of the honorary guard for Pope John Paul II, in San Antonio, TX.
Dick is survived by his wife Teddie; sons Richard (Holly) and Ronald (Betty) Taylor; grandchildren Erica (Kyle) Johnson, Jake Taylor, Nicole (John) Lochmann, Drew and Kevin Taylor; brothers Beryl and Dwight Taylor; and sister Evelyn Matlock.
