Cheri Lynn Weber McMurry

October 31, 1956 - July 06, 2018

Funeral service for Cheri Lynn Weber McMurry, 61 year-old Enid resident, is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Central Christian Church with Butch Phillips officiating. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Services are under the care of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Cheri was born October 31, 1956, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Edgar and Violet Mae (Hughes) Hendricks and passed away suddenly July 6, 2018, in Enid with her devoted family by her side.
In 1974, Cheri graduated from Pioneer High School. For the past 20 years, she worked for the Garfield County Sheriff's Department as Deputy where she was employed at the time of her death.
She was a member of the Sheriff's Association. Being the glue that helped keep the Sheriff's Department together, Cheri was a mentor to many of the newer deputies, taking them under her wings. And she was known to be the eye of the courthouse, always knowing what was going on and where.
On June 22, 2005, Cheri married Scott McMurry in Enid. They were like two peas in a pod who were always together. They gardened, watched birds and traveled to visit family any chance they had. Their open door policy meant that everyone was welcome to enjoy their hospitality and a dunk in the pool.
And who doesn't love a good Hallmark or Lifetime movie? Cheri definitely did! She was always a caregiver, whether she needed to be or not, always giving others care and attention. Enjoying life and being with family and friends is what she cherished most. Cheri was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will forever be remembered.
Preceded in death by her parents, Cheri is survived by her loving husband, Scott; three children, Chad Weber and wife, Heather; Cory Weber and wife, Skye, and Andrea McMurry, all of Enid; five grandchildren, Tinah Moles and husband, Rusty; Caleb Reed and wife, Lauren; Brock Weber; Duren Weber; Allen Weber, all of Enid; two great-grandchildren, Camden and Maylyn Moles of Enid; sister, Edra Vaughn and husband, Kenneth of Enid; brother, Haden Hendricks and wife, Karen of Stillwater.
Also surviving is father-in-law, Glen McMurry and wife, Jean of Wynne, AR; brothers-in-law, Glen McMurry and wife, Caroline of Woodland Park, CO; Brian McMurry and family of Europe; sisters-in-law, Terri Austin and husband, Joe of Baton Rouge, LA; Tammy Dobbins and husband, John of Germantown, TN; as well as best friend since seventh grade, Kim Caruthers, whom Cheri met at Beaver Pool and enjoyed traveling with over the years.
Memorials may be given through Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home to OMRF - Alzheimer's Division.
